The Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) will suspend your drivers license if you are charged with OUI
The RMV will administratively suspend you license for refusal to take the breath test for a period of 180 days.
If your license is suspended you can request a hardship license from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
You can also appeal your License Suspension to the RMV's Board of Appeal (BOA)

If you refuse a breath test you drivers license will be suspended based on how many OUI violations are on your record.

If you are found guilty of an OUI the period of license suspension is as follows
When the chemical test refusal suspension/revocation expires, or court order for reinstatement has been issued, you must see a Hearings Officer to be authorized for reinstatement.
The RMV conducts approximately 1000 suspension hearings per week.
You have 10 days to appeal a ruling or decision of the RMV
Hardship Driver's License
Hardship licenses are only granted to Massachusetts driver's license holders. In order to apply for a hardship license you must attend a hearing at select RMV hearing sites. Reinstatement fees range from $100.00 to $1000.00.
